I bet they will try and turn public perception by saying (in not so many words) this is Kerry's war. They have no shame!

1. Sure they will

They were against Clinton sending troops to Haiti, Bosnia and Kosovo. A guy I work with who's one of the biggest chickenhawks around opposed all three. But on the other hand he said Reagan wasn't tough enough in central America that we should've sent in troops instead of just CIA assistance. He was and still is very much a supporter of the Iraq invasion.

2. Well they did it to Clinton over Somalia..wouldn't suprise me!
Daddy Bush sent the troops into Somalia as a LAME DUCK, leaving the whole mess behind for Clinton. Since there was a Blackhawk Down and some US casualties, the Pukes jumped all over Clinton for it! Yet the death toll in Somalia was NOTHING compared to Iraq..where we have lost several Blackhawks! And Clinton was following the advice from the same Generals that advised Daddy Bush to send them in in the first place!

One good thing is that if the Pukes do turn anti-war, then they will join the ranks of those of us that's been that way all along...and therefore maybe we can pull the troops out sooner!

8. I wonder what will happen
if Kerry's elected and there's another terrorist attack shortly after he takes office, like in February or March. Would the Republicans blame Kerry, or would they have to admit it was Bush's fault?

5. I doubt it. I expect they'll say he mishandling it though.
They'll blame the whole mess on Kerry and say he's too timid to fight it hard, like Emperor Dipshit.

7. I absolutely guarantee they will. And most of us are already against it..
So I believe, whether he wants to or not, John Kerry is gonna have to pull out of Iraq.

Neocons and a few other nuts are going to be his only base for staying...the Zell Miller's of the world.

This habit we Democrats seem to have of electing people who then DO NOT do what we want them to do (like Zell), has got to stop.

He gets a pass on it until after the election, because the "wartime pResident" would only twist our candidate into a caricature, like they did Dukakis.

But no, the GOP will turn on the war like junkyard dogs the minute WE win. And the Iraqui's want us to leave even worse than WE want to leave...all that talk of fixing what we broke can be addressed through outright grants and loan guarantees to Iraq.

The times have changed, and as soon as the lying criminals are ousted, there will be absolutely no major support for staying.

And John Kerry better learn to like it.

11. They will certainly suddenly "discover" the horrendous cost of the
war, both in money and blood, and will suddenly "get religion" about fiscal prudence and wail about "Kerry's budget deficit."

12. And it will suddenly become "patriotic" to criticize the president again
And I don't care if John Kerry doubles our forces in Iraq, this will always be George W. Bush's war.

15. Guaranteed. The GOP's profiteering will have had its run by then, so...
they will suddenly see the light and become peace-loving.

Kerry will have his hands full -- all the attack machinery is in place: right-wing hate radio, Faux News and other RW cable outlets, Regenery Publishing, etc., etc. These assholes can turn on a dime now.

Yes, they will. Just like when Kerry is elected, all of a sudden they will now notice that the economy sucks and millions are unemployed.

is not going to seek another bid and the Army doesn't want them. Yeah, if Kerry is elected they will dump on him with everything in their tool box.
