Did anyone else notice Scott McClellan's WH response re: 1000 deaths?
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=0b8d5fbf29f25460

The White House Tuesday mourned the loss of all Americans in Iraq as the death toll since the beginning of last year's invasion hit 1,000.

...Whether it's one, two, three, or 1,000, or 1,200 when you take in Iraq and Afghanistan, we mourn the loss of every one of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, spokesman Scott McClellan said.

McClellan, speaking on the campaign trail with President George W. Bush, said the White House also mourned the deaths of nearly 3,000 people killed in al-Qaida's Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States.

more-

They can't answer a question without getting 9/11 in there somewhere. It reminds me of the Doonesbury cartoon from a few months ago where the White House press secretary said that from now on all questions would be answered by saying 9/11.

2. Yes Scotty, and I mourn the deaths of the 58,000 who died in Vietnam.
Which one took Shrub's place?
Which one took Cheney's place?
Which one took Wolfowitz's place?
Which one took Pigboy's place?
etc.
etc.
etc.

4. It reminds me of what people said during Vietnam
Whenever the number of troops killed in Vietnam came up, the Republicans' standard response was that more people were killed in traffic accidents during the same time period.

I still haven't been able to figure out what that had to do with tea in China, especially since the same Repugs fought traffic safety laws tooth and nail.

6. Yeah, its payback for all the Iraqis involved in 9/11
They still keep harping on that canard, no matter how many times it is authoritatively debunked.
