How many coffins???
Checking in some thread this afternoon, I saw a picture of the coffin part of the march. That picture had maybe 15 rows 3 or 4 deep. The discussion implied there were something like 972 coffins. I just listened to CBS News (radio version) and she said "the end of the march was brought up with a few people carrying coffins." Can anybody confirm that there were as many coffins as US dead in Iraq, 'cause that's a pretty important point that they lied about if true, and I'd write a letter to the lying jerks.

6. I'll have to watch BBC to get more coverage of this, we know ABC
NBC and barely CBS will show any of this more than a quick flash. What a pathetic country we've become with our media all tied up in Bush's Corporation Administration. Bushco, four more years of censored media!

8. Don't have to look far to find a lying newsperson, do we now?
antigone382, are you talking about the TV news? Do these liars synchronize their lies?

TailWgnDog & antigone382: Thanks for the welcome. I do drop in a lot more than my number of posts implies, but good wishes are always welcome!

12. I actually read the CBS report online
I haven't bothered turning on the TV, since I don't have cable and therefore no C-SPAN.

No, Bushco synchronizes their lies for them.

And thank you for thanking me for welcoming you, :).

10. one of our people said that the coffin line got interrupted and stalled
and ended up being segmented.

I don't have a link to his comment - his wife and daughter marched as pall bearers and he took the younger daughter home to watch c-span (if that sounds familiar to anyone else!)

14. The coffin march was segmented.
That's not surprising. There were so many people. Also, some of the pall bearers were tiring (extreme heat and humidity), and were finding substitutes to take over for them. That also broke up the flow.

9. I saw the coffins.
They were near the end of the march. I took many pictures, but there was no way to show how many. Hundreds and hundreds went past me.

13. If they showed Iraqi coffins, the march past would have taken hours
A point worth bearing in mind.
