2. Here's the deal.

A month or two ago, something changed on Yahoo. Before that, the Top Reader Rated Stories were generally the most important. Since then, at about the time of the DNC convention, Yahoo stories started getting seriously Freeped and the Top Stories are often almost total garbage--not always, but most of the time. It seems to me there is an organized effort to "disappear" stories that might hurt Bush and pump up silly stories. Also, the discussion boards are often flooded with GOP talking point posts and worse.

Also, sometimes you cannot make a recommendation to a story no matter how hard you try. These are ALWAYS anti-Bush stories.

There have been a number of posts about this sort of thing on Yahoo lately and I think it really is a problem because a lot of people read Yahoo news.

4. More than freeping

You can't legitimately have a news story get an average of "0.31" with Yahoo's rating system.

I have seen this twice on stories that hurt Bush, and nowhere else.

at first I was getting messages "this post may have been deleted"; but now the same posts are appearing OK.
