Edited on Mon Aug-25-03 12:11 AM by Keithpotkin
i want an area to discuss solely the different shades of liberalism...from conservative democrat....all the way down (or up?)to libertarian socialism…and everything in between...and there is a lot in between to talk about.

over at freeper land they have a conservative section...and so do we...whats with that.

we need a liberalism section!

your thoughts?

1. Oh good god no!
I can only begin to imagine the carnage of the ideological infighting!

3. AND...
it would finally quiet all those "green vs. gore" fights...and the libertarian vs. lefty-tax guru...

put them all in one place

5. Write out your thoughts and positions on the issues and present
it as a topic of discussion. The overall membership here is more liberal than the mainstream, but if you frame your position and feelings in non-confrontational way you will get some thoughtful and intelligent feedback from many of the members here. There are many fine minds here on all points of the spectrum in my not so humble opinion.

6. i agree
but often times the same fights are fought in different threads...and are cut short, because they realize that they are getting WAY off topic. if we had a room designated for broad "THE LEFT" debates...then they could be longer, and more insightful..in my not so humble opinion

11. Sounds like a reasonable request to me
but they don't ask for my opinion in Admin for some reason and I don't offer it. :D

Why don't you run it by Skinner in Ask the Admin forum? He seems like a pretty reasonable guy to me.
