I got in a bit of a dust-up on a non-political e-mail list--someone brought up Kerry's anti-war "atrocities" reference in a most negative manner. Thanks to DU, I had read the whole nuanced quote and went in search of it before replying. The private response from the rest of the list has been overwhelmingly positive and it felt good to be able to set the record straight.

I replied that he didn't say he was a war criminal--are you lying or just mistaken?
