Having said that, the world is a complicated place. If John Kerry becomes president, he will inherit a major mess and alienated allies around the world. Hence, I would understand if a President Kerry took a little longer than 6 months to clean up George W. Bush's mess. This will always be George W. Bush's war, even when he leaves the White House.

4. Goes to show Bush's failed leadership.

The U.S. shouldn't retreat though. I fully believe the military can sort things out. The top brass just has to stop sitting on their asses and get to work. If Bush can't get them to do that, then I guess we'll have to get Kerry too.
