1. I actually agree with Rush on this one.
Kansas is depressingly empty. If you have to traverse Kansas during the day, be sure to bring Prozac.

What would eastern Colorado be? Western Nebraska,Western Texas?

Hell,Pillboys own state isn't 100% shock and awe IMO. Driving from West Palm Beach toward the panhandle sure isn't anything to write home about--and they say Kansas is flat?? ROFLOL.
