A Question now about service and party affiliation
Can a member of the Democratic Party expect their service to be honored or is the fact that a service member is not a republican more important than service to the country? It seems the military is now an arm of the republican party and when you think military you think republican-did the "great divider" split our country so that if you are a democrat your service to this country is depreciated by party affiliation? Then why would someone who is a democrat join the armed forces? After what happened to Senator Max and now this swift boat smear-the GOP has sent the message that the military is owned by the GOP-I cannot imagine a more foul thing to do-Imagine if only the GOP fought in WW2? (we would be speaking german or japanese) I don't know if I am right but it seems the tenor is that only republicans can serve faithfully in the armed forces and that is a smear which can only further undermine the joints which hold us together as a people (also 9/11 is owned by the Repugs-but that is another post!)

1. M Savage some time ago was discussing Gen Clark with caller 'expert'
He asked caller if Clark had really done all those 'brave, soldiery things.' Caller said yes.

Then they spent a long time trying to figure out how someone who had served in the military could be a democrat. They just couldn't see how that could be possible.

Savage finally said they must have been brainwashed in the cradle and only watched the 'liberal media' to have views so out of touch with the 'real world.'
