Met the most off the chart person politically yesterday...
Not quite sure how to identify them. We were in a meeting and we started taling politics. They guy was:

Voting for Kerry, but not because he agrees with him, but felt he was most qualified for the job. It was interesting what he said "We're interviewing someone for a job - and really who would you rather have as your manager - Bush, who knows nothing or Kerry who can do the job and do it well?"

Against going into Iraq, but wanted Sadaam taken out with Special Forces.

Anti-welfare completely, but pro social security.

Pro-education, but pro vouchers as well

Anti Abortion, and anti-death penalty

Pro legalization of all drugs, and pro treatment

Pro gun control

Anti-FCC - wants it broken up and turned into smaller more effective organizations

He was all over the map, but I kind of respect that - since none of his thoughts were knee jerk.

1. If everyone gave issues that much consideration
we'd be in much better shape.

8. I agree - sounds like a thinker who could change his mind on the facts
Not a common sight these days. I've been feeling so lonely. Maybe I can educate him on the voucher thing... What's his number?

11. Exactly. This guy formed his OWN opinions
That is exceedingly rare in these degenerate Totalitarian Times, and may well be the direct cause of them.

3. When I saw the anti welfare but pro social security, the first thought
that popped up in my mind was how many effin' republicans in Florida want government assistance from the hurricane. It is like lawyers, nobody likes them until they need one. Just like government assistance, republicans are against it until they need it. How many Florida republicans are staying true to their values and saying, "I am not taking help from the government!" Probably not a single one.

That was off the topic, sorry.

He is obviously a thinking person if his opinions are all over the map. It is like the Big Dog said, "When people think, democrats win!"

5. His argument about welfare was
That it enables failure....his agreement was solid, that minimum wage pays less than welfare so where is the encouragement to get off it? He suggested ending welfare, but instituting a living wage that adjusts to the cost of living. I might be inclined to agree with that...

4. Wow, that more or less sounds like me.............
Though I'm not entirely anti-welfare, and I'm not in favor of legalizing all drugs.
