Just heard on Minnesota Public Radio that Norm Coleman
was on the Daly Show last night. Did anyone see the puke??? He was a democrat at one time I guess, I've only lived in Minnesota for 3 years, and don't really know much about him. I did vote for Mondale, and balled my eyes out when I heard Paul Wellstone had died.

1. He is a sleazy bit of work
who had the audacity to say he was a "99% improvement" over Wellstone.

2. Yeah. I saw him
Slimey little rat, isn't he. The audience wanted to jump him but Jon kinda helped to cover so he wouldn't be completely booed out of the studio.

Didn't say much, just kinda grinned a toothy grin and shrugged.

3. Didn't see him because I was watching the Olympics
But there has been some discussion of his appearance elsewhere on DU. I guess Jon Stewart got in a pretty good shot, but that's about all.

4. Yep he was.
Jon called him out on his change from DFL to Republican - "That would be a flip-flop, wouldn't it?"

Normie was his usual asshat self. He switched parties for the sole reason that there were fewer people "in line" for major candidacy in the Repuke party than in the DFL. He personifies political opportunism and hypocrisy.

6. I don't understand why Jon bothered having him on in the first place.
He's not running for office. He didn't just do something important. He wasn't particularly funny or talkative. He's just another smarmy Republican.

Why the hell put him on the Daily Show?
