Wanna have a non-alcoholic beer with W*?
Edited on Tue Aug-17-04 04:56 PM by trof
Blitzer says you could.
Wolf is interviewing editor of GQ (I think). He went out for a couple of beers with Kerry. As near as I can reconstruct:
WB: So what kind of drinking companion is Kerry?
GQ: Actually, he's terrific. I had a great time. Very interesting guy and a lot of fun. Great sense of humor.
WB: What kind of beer did you drink?
GQ: We started out with Sam Adams but Kerry switched to Guiness.
WB: Many people say George Bush is the kind of guy they'd like to have a beer with. Who do you think you'd rather have one with.
GQ: Well...I guess you couldn't really have a beer with Bush, you know.
WB: Well, YOU COULD HAVE A NON-ALCOHOLIC BEER, COULDN'T YOU?
GQ: Yeah, I guess you could have an apple juice or something.

bwaaahaaaahaaa

Blitzer just couldn't let it go. Gee, you could have SOME kind of something with his favorite guy, couldn't you? Didn't want his boy shut out.
What a maroon.

"Nobody can have a beer with Bush--he is a drunk who is supposed to be on the wagon."

4. Actually, "non-alcoholic" beer does contain alcohol.
As a recovering alcoholic, Bush should stick to juice boxes.

7. the sugar in the juice would make him all hyper and twitchy ...
Not a pretty sight. (Though he's never that attractive to look at, is he.)

Personally, I don't like to listen to mean-spirited teasing when I'm trying to eat or drink. Puts me right off my food! Kerry, Edwards, Dean, Gore, the Clintons -- heck, most of the Democratic leadership -- would be more pleasant drinking companions, as far as I'm concerned.

Blitzer is an annoying fool. Not only his shilling for Bush but his monotonous voice...

CNN is probably as bad if not worse than FOX at this point.

Funny thing is though freepers always claim the "adults are back in charge". Sure, I think Bush should go back to sitting at the little kids table drinking his apple juice.

8. Someone is bound to point out
Guiness is a British beer.

A red blooded American should be drinking a red-blooded-American beer.
