3. Oh, come, now
Only someone as stupid and lazy as Bush would consider the or in that question to be exclusive.

6. Lazy. Willful ignorance is not stupidity. It's worse than that.
And remember, laziness is one of the Seven Deadly Sins, and stupidity isn't.

9. definitely lazy, not stupid
While I don't think he is even close to Kerry or the Clintons intellectually, I do think Bush is reasonably intelligent. He has been smart enough to use his family connections to get the governorship of Texas, get two sweetheart deals regarding the Texas Rangers and now the presidency. He's ahead of all his brothers in that regards at least.

I submit we have come full circle from misunderestimating bushler, to thinking he's dumb like a fox, back to realizing, no, we were right the first time - he's an idiot puppet. what is dangerous about stupid people like him is that they honestly believe they're smart. or even worse, in his case, "divinely guided."

:7 "I" know! :hi:

Bush IS dumb. Just listen to the man when he has to answer unscripted questions. He cannot do it coherently. We don't have 2 "Bushism" books because he's so intelligent. :hi: I'm with your wife....HE'S DUMB and I, TOO, HATE BUSH.....with a passion!

25. The whole crowd
let's not forget the 'team" that backs him up. The net result is that indolent inattention to major policy comes from the group focus on what they consider important- and that one way or another force will make people fall into line. It is ideological stupidity so crippling that necessary policies like the Roadmap fall by the wayside due to simple lack of enthusiasm and engagement. of course it starts from the top but Bush's real stupidity is fed from the bottom- all the way down to his laughable base voters. They are all inherently lazy about being at all responsible for anything. Taking, punishing, being rewarded crowd out responsible thought.

Bush's verbal revelations show him as more deeply dysfunctional than ever. While of course it is physical, it is their normal fall back appearance. denial, outrage, changing the subject to attack, but never ever admitting a mistake or doing the right thing for the right reason. Cheney exhibits as much dumbness and moreso when acting out his rage. Powell is made to look and talk so dumb he must be stupid just trying to accommodate it all. Rumsfeld really think he is the war god reducing all his subordinates to private committees and chess pieces which are mainly crippled by his interference. Ashcroft has turned justice into a minor ring in the circus just letting things slide. Even though deliberate it shows dominant laziness. So dominant they cannot consider the long term damage they even do to themselves, last in a long line of policy victims.

All their policies are fiats, brushing aside failures, never investing a ounce of personal sweat or followthrough, evading even the appearance of effort. After all ruling powers should not be burdened with work. How can you even act intelligent with irreversible behavior patterns like those? And Bush is a lousy actor even when following a second rate Hollywood prop like Reagan.
