Politics Aside
Let's review what people are running to be the president of the country.

What are they all about? What can they bring to the leadership table? Why are they there at all?

No politics.

Discuss why one should be president over the reason why the other shouldn't be?

2. Real hard not to ignore
What -- you want superficial reasons like, "He's better looking" or something inane like that?

This is a POLITICAL discussion forum. We talk politics (as a rule). Lounge is for superficial shit. Maybe your thread would over go better there. Just an idea.

3. i defer to gore vidal on this topic
anyone who is nominated for president these days has sold themselves over to special interests so many times that they should automatically be discounted.
or something to that effect.

5. No politics?
I can't see how your question allows for an answer. Any answer would involve political interpretation.

7. Here's a nice answer for you

John Kerry has been decorated a few times for his actions in combat situations, and has been described by people who served with him as an excellent leader that they would trust with their lives.

The chimp can't even find someone who remembers that they served with him.

John Kerry has not been convicted of DUI, and was not a heavy substance abuser until over halfway through his life. He has found someone he's compatible with as a spouse who is very intelligent, very wealthy, and has not killed anyone with a motor vehicle.

Dumbya is a (possibly)former substance abuser, and has a dimwit wife who did kill someone with her car.

John Kerry has had a long and successful career serving the people of Massachusetts.

Chimpy has left a string of failed businesses behind him, and poorly ran the state of Texas in the one election he really did win.

John Kerry, who is a senator from a small, northeastern state, is leading an incumbent president in just about all national polls.

The King of Crawford has mismanaged this country so badly that he is trailing a senator from a small northeastern state after having nearly 90% approval ratings less than 2 years ago.

How's that?

on edit: I left specific issues out, but I made general references to political seats. I hope that doesn't break with the spirit of your question. You can use just the first two if you want to keep it superficial.
