Thurs: Charley hits, not enough Guard Sat: Bush says troops to come home
from being stationed overseas. Perhaps NOW the Bushies are thinking about protecting our "homeland."

Am I the only DUer who thinks these two things are related?

1. And there's a terror attack coming...
It would look bad if there were no troops afterward.

2. And there's a terror attack coming...
Do they know where it's going to be yet?? I mean... have they done any rehearsals like planes flying into buildings... like they did just before 911???

7. They are either
going straight to Iraq or they are going into Iran.

16. my first thought was oh no. iran. but i can also see that
they would pull them from germany etc to bring some home in the next months for the election - various reasons that could shore up some.

its so sad how there is no telling with this administration.
i was just thinking this morning about the survey that said 43% (i think) of people think * may use the alerts for political reasons

43%. that is a lot of people not trusting you esp when they can go so far as to say the alerts are possibly political and not real...

wow

8. For Marshall Law
You need more troops to crack Liberal heads and keep the old folks and 'Radical Progressives' in check.

9. These are infantry and armor. the troops are coming home
for a short stay and training and then they'll head to the new Iraq bases where their equipment will head directly. This gives the necons another 100,000 in Iraq so they can head into Iran. Don't think for a minute they give a shit about another attack here, it would only strengthen their position and the shrub's.

10. Another good (and frightening) possibility.
With the Bushies, it's just a question of WHICH horrific goal they are pursuing.

11. Oh I don't know.
Perhaps it is to relieve the Nat.Guards and Reservist units that have no business in Iraq.

When I joined the Armed Service I took an oath to defend the CONSTITUTION from all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC. Bush is skating on very thin ice.
