Sure you're not a Texas Republican, O'Neill. That’s why you contribute to every Republican organization and candidate that comes down the pipe.

5. This miserable bastard
couldn't tell the truth about even the most innocuous circumstance if his life hung in the balance.

It must be the result of so much face-to-face exposure to Richard Nixon at an early age; his soul was corrupted.

And I say that with no forgiveness whatsoever.

John O'Neill is lower than a water moccasin's ass in a sewage pipe.

(BTW, I just re-watched Matthews tear him a new one. I've never seen him just bust a conservative like that. Never.)

6. Ask him to tell us about WHY he "voted for Gore"...
...and why he "didn't" vote for Bush. I'm sure he could come up with all sorts of reasons why Gore was the better man for the Presidency, and I'm sure he could elaborate on the many policy points he disagrees with Bush on.

LIAR!!!

7. Full o' Shit
He said on Hardball he hasn't voted for a Republican since 1988, but the Chris Matthews asked him if he voted for Clinton, and he said no. He might have voted Reform Party or another third party, but I doubt it.

14. O'Neill hired George Bush's former General Counsel
O'Neill's Houston lawfirm of Clements, O'Neill Pierce and Wilson recently hired Margaret A. Wilson who apparently has made co-partner. Margaret Wilson was George Bush's own General Counsel from 1998 to 2000 and before that she worked at Vinson & Elkins, Enron corporation's main lawfirm. And O'Neill was a law clerk for Rehnquist before he entered the practice of law. Of course Ms. Wilson might be a terrific attorney. But hiring and quick promotions at good sized lawfirms like O'Neill's are often due to either favors they are doing for someone else or the desire to curry favor.

15. And just take a look at some of O'Neill's business clients !!!
http://www.copwf.com/rep_clients.htm

First, O'Neill is the head of his lawfirm of Clements O'Neill Pierce and Wilson (Clements having died 5 years ago). Not only does he have George Bush's own former General Counsel as his co-partner in Margaret Wilson (1998 - 2000 while Bush was the Texas Governor) but you will note in the link above that O'Neill's clients include both Koch Industries and Duke Energy.

One of the greatest Bush scandals is the most underreported, as it happened two months after he took office. Koch Industries, the world's largest privately held oil and energy company, had been very actively pursued by the Clinton administration for not only releasing 90 metric tons of carcinogens into the environment but of also affirmatively concealing that fact from the American public and the government. The Clinton Administration had charged Koch with a 97-count felony, which could have potentially totalled more than 100 years in prison for Koch Executives. Also, a $357,000,00.00 fine was hanging over Koch's head. When George Bush came into office, all charges were suddenly dropped and Koch was hit with a miniscule fine in exchange for a plea. Koch had contributed more than $800,000 to Bush and other Republican causes.

Also shortly after Bush took office, a Clinton investigation into price gouging by oil and gas companies against Duke Energy was summarily dropped, even though Duke admitted to selling electricity in California at twice the previously reported price.

Who represents both Koch and Duke? If I mentioned that John O'Neill was completely indifferent to these favors done by Bush on behalf of his major clients would you believe me? And the parade of cronyism and mutual hand washing marches on.

18. I think "60 Minutes" did a piece on Koch Industries no too long ago
I think they called it the biggest oil company you've never heard of. I can't remember what the piece was about, but it was an "expose" of a sort. They did somethng rotten.
