We all know that the republican party is a well-oiled shit factory of a machine hell bent on greed and self-interest, but why for the love of God, is the Democratic party, the party of the people, so disorganized, so underfunded, so scared to fight, and fight dirty against republicans, so filled with rank after rank of chickenshit scaredy cats who can't find their ass with two hands? I'm disgusted to the point that i'm about to become part of the politically apathetic majority. I hate republicans for their ideas but admire their methods, but I hate democrats for their methods but admire their ideas.

No, it wasn't "our only alternative". We had the alternative of "a representative with the courage of their convictions". That wasn't sexy enough.
