My Friend Met Rep. Barney Frank This Weekend - This Is About The "Media"

my friend and coworker (she is our HR director, gay and a GREAT person) was at a party this past weekend with Rep. Barney Frank. (Mutual Friends)

They started talking about the media and the bias. Barney told her that 9 TIMES OUT OF 10 the Democrats will submit NEWS (not opinion or conjecture) to MAJOR MEDIA outlets (re: CNN, MSNBC, etc... - He says they don't even BOTHER with FAUX)

VERY RARELY will these "news outlets" even RESEARCH the information. According to him, it more often than not, ends up in the garbage. He was even told by a CNN Producer that "Prisoner Tourture isn't something we think the 'Murican people care too much about. No ratings." This was in reference to Gitmo.

She had a LONG talk with him and she left the party pretty disgusted. She said he was "FUMING" as he was telling the stories.

I told her (bless her heart), "Welcome To Amerikka"

1. Dems need to start blowing the LID off this.. with names.. dates ..stories

EVERY TIME THEY GET ON LIVE TV..

Saying it on a tapedelayed or edited show won't do it..

Or they need a "quiet" investigation..and when they have their ducks in a row..they need to call a joint press conference with as many dems as they can gather..

You can't tell me that if 100+ democratic legislators called a news conference, that press would HAVE to cover it..

It's time to SPEAK OUT...

2. Yeah, and funny how EVERY Bushevik Blastfax, no matter how demonstrably

false, gets TONS of COVERAGE.

We have a media that would be better suited to Commie China than post-WWII America (now gone).

3. Barney needs to speak out more vigorously.

He is a greatly respected Democratic voice--and he could get a lot of attention to these issues. Perhaps we should urge him to try harder--that we are behind him?

With someone like him speaking out aggressively on our behalf--the undecideds will be forced to listen.
