Economic Left/Right: -5.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.69

I've always wondered if I'm too far left to be considered a Democrat. Where do the rest of you DU'ers stand?

I appear to be more libertarian than the Dalai Lama. Curious that nobody appears in the right/libertarian quadrant.

4. I Would Expect "True" Libertarians to Appear There Also
not faux libertarians who advocate removing all controls on corporations while neglecting the rights of individuals.

7. the golden rule
i haven't taken one of these tests for quite awhile ...
my scores:

Economic Left/Right: -7.75, Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.67

came pretty damned close to the lower left corner of the graph ... some good company down here ...

the basic vision is that people should be left alone to do whatever the hell they want to do as long as it doesn't hurt others ...

corporations, on the other hand, must be heavily regulated because their clear purpose is to maximize profits whether it hurts others or not ...

the rule is consistently applied to individuals as well as corporations ... regulation and control must increase proportionately to an individual's or corporation's intention and ability to cause harm to others and to the society at large ...
