How will your life personally change with a Kerry presidency?
For me,

1. Work will become much less stressful because Kerry will work to rescue our soldiers from the Middle East nightmare Bush has created.

2. I'll be able to keep my job because bases in Germany will stay open.

3. I'll have more job security because it will not be subject to Bush's plan to remove due process/arbitration rights.

4. Kerry will reverse Bush's termination of contracts begun under the Clinton administration to improve base housing and general base support infrastructure, which will improve morale and the general comfort level for all on base.

5. I'll be able to buy a house.

6. I can hope to recoup the losses in the stockmarket that occurred on Bush's watch.

6. I'll be able to go to Europe without
being so fucking embarrassed that a lunatic runs our country.

I will be able to know that someone with a brain will be making decisions on the Supreme Court appointments, the budget, economic policy overall, and that we are more likely to be able to deal with muslims who want to kill us in a more effective way.

I'm hoping he won't do the draft so my sons won't have to go to the Middle East for stupid reasons and get shot at.

A rational president can make a big difference.

7. Maybe I'll be able to get
a good night's sleep for the first time in four years and not have to worry about my sons getting drafted. It will take a while for this economy to turn, Bush* has dug quite a hole.

8. The Kerry administration
Edited on Fri Aug-06-04 11:22 AM by livetohike
will restore good environmental policies including the protection of our wilderness areas.

We will have leadership for a change. One that is respected in the world and one that builds partnerships instead of destroys them.

The American people will have hope again. We will get on the right track with education, health care and job creation. All of the domestic issues that were ignored by Bush Co. will be addressed by the Kerry administration.

We will be led by an intelligent and compassionate administration.

Personally, I will be able to find meaningful employment and I will be able to hike in a wilderness area without worrying that it may be the last time that area is protected.

12. Denmark has the highest taxes
and the lowest unemployment in the world. Tell your husband that with a Kerry administration, we can work to reestablish free enterprise and true competition in the US rather than no-bid contracts to our leaders' former companies. This will improve the quality of everything in our lives, including our security.

21. Unless you're in the very tip top 2% of Americans income-wise,
then let your husband know he won't be paying more taxes according what Kerry is saying. The tax change would affect only the very, very top income-reporters. I'm not sure any of us on DU would qualify.. we're talking Dick Cheney-rich... not upper middle class. Also, when the economy improves, and the funding to the states improves.. we'll be paying less hidden taxes (as Howard Dean was so clever to point out during his campaign).

28. over $200,000
is what Kerry is proposing. That's not exactly Cheney territory. Granted...have no issue with it..would rather taxes go to fund healthcare rather than war machines.

And I'll never be complacent again. I'll work my ass off educating young women whenever I can.

17. Well I'll still be worried about whether Im moving to Canada
because even though Kerry may be so much better than Bush, I really think we're getting our hopes up far too high.

A lot of people here are making life in America under Kerry out to be some sort of utopia, but no, that will never be.

Kerry is smarter and better than Bush for sure, but I still dont trust him to do what truly needs to be done to get this country back on the right path.

22. I hope to be working again
and from that will spring:

  • Saving money. Being laid off, my savings have taken a beating as I've just tried to cover basic bills.

  • Remodeling. Being able to once againg dive into the house remodling world. I live in the family homeplace and haven't been able to do it justice... yet.

  • Feeling hopeful. Not really related to a job per se, but being able to just breath easier about the world. I've been so tense the last four years. I really would like to stand down the vigil.

1. the diminishing of separation of church & state;

2. repealing a woman's right to choose.

It will also be great to have a president who I can listen to & not cringe in embarrassment at his mangling of the English language!

25. I have no idea
I'd have to wait and see how he approaches governing. The people who have these ideas in their head about how everything will be just great if Kerry wins concern me...this is exactly the same mindset that hurt the left after Clinton's election. People thought we had defeated the radical right and went back into political hibernation.

more concerned with the well being of America instead of the current thieves who are interested in the raping of America. This country is in a state of disrepair and we need some intelligence back in the White House.

33. I believe it means affordable Health Care for us
Both my husband and Myself are without Health insurance.

I believe the small business tax cut will help us .

My water will be clean , my forests will be safe
our coastline will be safe .

I will feel more confident in the economy when I see
efforts to live a sustainable life .

as the economy strengthens more people will be able
to afford fixing the dents in their cars and are business
will grow .

I will feel safer , with more funds available for
ports and cargo containers . Also I believe Kerry
knows better than bush who to defeat the murderers
who wish to kill Americans .

35. For me......
I feel there won't really be as much of a change as for most. I am not really effected by our bad economy currently. I am afraid though that some firearms of mine will become banned after Kerry gets elected. The only thing I don't like about Dem's is the agenda against responsible firearms owners.

Oh and I won't get drafted. :D
