1. Check The Math

The so-called "handover" was June 28. We'll spot them the two days to bring us up to June 30, when the handover was supposed to happen.

Since July 1, we have lost 65 soldiers. That's 65 soldiers in 34 days, for an average of 1.91 soldiers per day. There are 91 days between now and the election. 91 days times 1.91 soldiers/day equals 173.9 soldiers that will die between now and the election, at the current rate.

So at this rate, the death toll will be 1,093 dead soldiers by November 2.
