on mundane things like shelter, food, and clothing? I just recieved a contractual raise but it sure doesn't feel like it, after buying gas, food, making house payments, helping my daughter through college, etc. <But the economy is turning the corner.> Yeah right.

What with oil prices hitting record highs, the interest rates rising, inflation starting to go up, the housing market bubble on the verge of bursting, and now this, a real key to our economy, consumer spending is going on the skids because after three years of reckless mismanagement, the ordinary person simply doesn't have the money to spend like they used to.

A bad war, bad economy, bad foreign relations, bad poll numbers, no wonder Bushco is trying to gin up some support with bogus terror alerts. I'd be pulling out all the stops too.
