Bush Pledges Reform . . . Of His Own Administration
The Bush campaign's pledge of Bold New Initiatives in his second term sounds like he's running as a reformer against himself. That's gall for you.

Fat chance he will do things differently in his second term. If Bush had any new ideas he'd implement them right away. There's been a steady stream of bad news ever since Bush took office. He denies it's his fault, but it's more than coincidence. The only thing he'll do differently is replace the cabinet officers who are looking to preserve their reputations while there's still a chance.

1. There's a MEME: Bush running as a reformer...AGAINST HIMSELF!!!
Talk about being a "me too" candidate!

2. But isn't that implying that he may have made a mistake?

After that press conference, I always felt like if someone could make * admit to a mistake, he'd melt down like the computer in the old Star Trek series when it was confronted with a paradox.

3. I thought he was "Staying the Course"? Would that be a flip-
flop?
