Protesting Cheney in Reno Nevada DUer made the news

I went to the Reno Protest with my veteran father this morning where Cheney snuck in last nite and made the evening news(local channel 4) and I want to let you all know I spread the word about DU because I got to wear my SHOVE IT t-shirt and everyone there loved it. So hopefully we will get some more members. I was also interviewed by the reporter from channel 2 because he has the same name as my son so I struck up a conversation with him. Off camera these folks were with us all the way. The reporter called and wished my son a Happy Birthday after the interview. Great morning for Dems, people on the inside said Cheneys reception was tepid at best and outside where we were protesting we had a lot of suppport from the traffic going by.

4. I just saw the local CBS clip and made that too

The reporter has the same name as my son, first and last and he gave me his card and told me to call anytime, so you can bet that I will. He was nice enough to call my son and wish him a Happy Birthday, todays my sons birthday, I thought it was pretty thoughtful, my son gets teased because the reporter is on every evening.

8. I actually live in Douglas County

and it is considered Rural, we have started an agressive voter registration drive and we have made huge inroads. I am precint captain for middle Kingsbury and we are astounded at the Dems that are registered. Senator Reid is actually coming to Douglas County on Monday and we have a meeting with him before his fund raiser.

I missed the Cheney protest down here a few months ago, and I'm still a little PO'd. GREAT JOB! I'm so glad to have folks like you on OUR team...

I wold KILL to live in Carson City, btw -- I'm very jealous.
