"If you want to live like a Republican, you have to vote Democrat.."
Isn't that what Harry Truman said? Is there any truth to that? It seems like people have better jobs, even big businesses do better, when Democrats are in charge? One wonders why we continue to fall for the Republican bullshit and keep sticking our pecker in the fan...:)

1. I've always loved that line
I think the reason that many fall for the Republican bullshit is because they're better at the semantics game( with considerable help from the SCLM ).

Just take Bush's latest "tax cut". The fact that it actually redistributed more of the tax burden on the lower and middle class never made it into any of the discussions. Our guys/gals let the pugs frame the debate in a way that led most Americans to believe that they actually would be better off with that legislation.

Until the Democrats learn to propose a 20% tax increase on the wealthy and sell it as a tax cut for the regular joe's, many will continue to fall for the Republican bullshit.

2. Yes, indeed it's what he said
My grandmother needlepointed that saying on a pillow more than 50 years ago. LOL

It's such a great line from good ol' "Give 'Em Hell, Harry." :D

3. no thanks
I don't want to live like a republican, raping the environment with a yuppie consumption filled greedy lifestyle, stepping on the necks of others for my own interests, discriminating against anyone who is different, waving the flag of imperialism, hypocritcally judging others on morality, wiping my ass with the constitution, while pretending capitalism is great.
No, I don't want to live like a republican, I don't envy their empty worthless materialistic pathetic existence.
