1. The documents in question were COPIES!!!

I don't understant WHY there is such a big fuss about this. I have heard repeatedly that what Sandy was looking at were not the originals, but copies.I admit, it is possible he broke some law b removing some documents, but if they were copies, then a fine or some other appropriate penalty should be sufficient.

4. If I understood David Gergen correctly,

not only were they COPIES but they were copies of HOW they twarthed the millenium terrorist plot! He stated after they twarted the plan, Berger went to Richard Clarke and they drew up a report on what they did and why it was successful. He said those were the documents in question.

I must say, Gergen has been quite impressive in his defense of Berger!

6. There's such a big fuss

because the repukes don't want the sheeple to hear about the 911 report. It's a pattern. Every time something bad about the cabal is to be released, they throw out some bullshit story because they own the media and they know the media will run with the WH bullshit stories. Are the repukes upset over the federal crime committed by the WH in leaking Valerie Plame's name? Are they upset about the cabal lying about WMD? Are they upset about 903 soldiers who have been murdered because of the cabal's LIES? Where's their outrage????

Paul O'Neil...they leaked a memo that was to discredit him and distract attention away from his book.

Richard Clarke....they released a memo to distract and take attention away from his book.

Joe Wilson.....They leaked his wife's name to the press to get even for his OP-ED piece about Niger and to take away the attention it was getting.

Now, we have Sandy Berger's name being tossed out to take attention away from the 911 report. See the pattern? The repukes are evil.

should display a photo of Foley's head with an illustration that there is absolutely nothing in there. How long will the media let these thugs get away with these outrageous lies? Berger DID NOT conceal anything in his socks or BVDs, yet the GOP continues to assert that he did. The media, knowing which party means more money in their coffers, is more than willing to let this blatant propaganda continue.
After Kerry wins in November one of the first things on the Democratic agenda should be dissolving the monopoly and stranglehold the CONservatives have on the media in this country.

5. Strawman...Strawman...And A Fat One, Too

I saw that poster and the comment that Berger was a "Weapon Of Mass Destruction". What a bunch of shit and borders on slander. Until we have an accuser's face and name about the stupid socks rumor, these hacks should shut up...or let us take the podium and spread a few of our favorite Bunnypants rumors. Dare a Democrat put up a picture of Chenney and deride it in the same way and watch Hastert the Bastard get his panties in a bunch.

Berger has always been a target for the reich wing...especially the neo-cons and you can see the most vocal of the chickenhawks are the ones leading the "charge" here. The moderates are either silent or the brave few, like David Gergen, actually have come out and defended him. Berger almost single-handidly foiled the LAX plot and on that issue alone should be awarded medals, not derided...especially with the GOOP implications of his physical appearance (of course).

Yep,that damn media hates the pResident...and whose fault is that? Hell, the dude was all but proclaimed Emperor and Jesus Christ after 9/11 and has all but blown that reputation to hell as his approval ratings have halved in the past year. Yep, blame Sandy Berger on that one, too.

I sure hope that maybe Berger did do this to force the commission to let open ALL the documents involving 9/11...so it's opened wide how negligent this regime was. The game here is to use Berger to blame it all on Clenis. Sorry, GOOPies, 9/11 happened on your watch and the report says you were aware and still neglected the national security of this country...and continue to do so, if not at more peril today.
