Bush has said for 6 months now that he will “win the war on terror,” “extend peace and freedom throughout the world” and “continue to create jobs” - but we will get details only after the DNC convention so DNC folks can not comment on those details in prime time!
:-)
It is a given that Bush will keep calling for medical liability reform, but will he also jump on the idea of allowing lower-priced drugs to be imported from Canada and elsewhere? On taxes - Make his tax cuts permanent is a given, but maybe also end alternative minimum tax on rich?
On the backburner will be the overhaul of Social Security, giving temporary legal status to illegal immigrants, and sending astronauts back to the moon by 2020 and ultimately on to Mars.
And of course, since there have been no problems with the Bush Foriegn policy, there can be no disclosures of new approaches to Iran, North Korea, the Middle East and the search for Osama bin Laden - we will only hear that America is “safer” under his leadership — not 100 percent safe, but safer - as he tries to inoculate himself in case something bad does happen - while saying the that the key rationale for his re-election is to continue his national security accomplishments - whatever they are!
I sure look forward to hearing the media gush over the Bush August speeches as he outlines his vision for the future!
