That's her advantage, and I don't think she is using it enough. I imagine it is very difficult to think of anything funny about what the Bushies have done to our country and the world in 2.5 short years, but if anyone can do it, Janeane Garofalo can. She should point out the ridiculousness in the Bushie approach -- a horrible ridiculousness.

Having said that, though, Janeane scored a lot of points on the pubbies today, and I continue to be amazed at her strength and intelligence. She is one of my heros.

I'm glad she hasn't used much humor. I think she first needs to establish some real credentials as "serious" commentator. Over time, her natural sense of humor will come into it.

I'm not talking about jokes. That not what JG does. She's insightful and witty, not jokey. She's justifiably famous for that -- second to none -- and she should use it.

Trying to be too serious plays into the hands of the pubbies. She can lead a chorus of laughter against the pubbies, and do it with the truth. People other than the converted are not easily going to accept raw facts from JG. That's why there are web pages. There are billions of those, but only one JG.

Satire, my friend. That's what I am talking about. Voltaire, not nightclub schtick. Janeane Garofalo is too cool to waste on mere facts. She can make good people (Dem and pubbie both) see through Bushism to it's ridiculous core and the inept child-man himself.
