I read a post of his article in the 50s where he justified having blacks as second-class citizens because of the superiority of whites and how they were more civilized...and therefore they would be doing a favor to society and blacks by keeping control of society.... The committee vote was UNANIMOUS in favor of the final report, YET Senator R. says this "no pressure" issue was the single biggest disagreement and that he (and presumably the other Dems) DO NOT AGREE with the report. So, same-o same-o, they absolve the Shrub and the Shrubbites while saying they DISAGREE with this.
