Sign up for a party near you:
http://action.moveon.org/phone/It's amazing how many there are near where I live... I'm signed up and planning to make some phone calls on Sunday night. Anyone else?
Here's the info on it from Moveon:
------------------------------------
We now have 12,000 people signed up for almost 3,000 Call For Change parties, from Homer, Alaska, to Biddeford, Maine! This is TWICE as many people as we had signed up when we did phone parties before, on May 8.
This time around, there's "Celling Change" in New York City, "We The People Call the People Up" in Montpelier, Vermont, and "Fool me twice, shame on me! Phones Against Bush!" in Thornton, Colorado. It will be another historic day for American democracy, and when the last caller puts down her phone on Sunday, we'll have registered thousands and thousands of new folks to vote.
Please bring the following things with you on Sunday:
1. 10 stamps and 10 normal, business-size envelopes. This will allow us to mail partially completed registration forms, along with pre-addressed, postage-paid envelopes, to anyone who wants to register.
2. Your fully-charged cell phone, and your charger. If you can, bring a friend or family member's phone for people who don't have cell phones.
3. A pen.
4. Your friends and family! We still have a tremendous amount of work to do to make sure that John Kerry and John Edwards end up in the White House this January. Every single person you invite means a couple extra progressive voters registered in states where the 2000 election was decided by as little as a few hundred votes! As an active MoveOn volunteer, you are already making a big difference -- now imagine doubling or tripling your impact by recruiting a few more people. So make sure your friends join you on Sunday. Just send them this link and they can sign up for the party you'll be attending:
