Why do we have to take OxyRush commenting upon...looks.

People's looks. I accidently swiched on the A.M. in my car this morning, and some caller was basically insulting the looks of Mrs. Kerry and Mrs. Edwards. It steamed me to the max! Then Rush said, "Let's not go down that road. There's so much to talk about."

I thought, "Well, neither one of you have a law degree. Neither one of you was a successful advocate. You didn't have a child at 48 or one at 50. You didn't lose at child when he was 16." How dare these people comment!

2. It all comes down to the fact they don't like their husbands

It's not like republican first ladies have all been beauty queens. And why should any of them be, regardless of party affiliation?

If Mrs. Heinz-Kerry or Mrs. Edwards looked like Catherine Zeta-Jones, they'd have a problem with that, too, I'm sure.

Rush was smart not to "go down that road." He's no sex object either.

Oxyrush does have a small mind. I worked both as a social worker and a therapist-intern for many years, and it has been my (humble) experience that addicts are very self-absorbed people. Addiction may be a disease, but it is also a very selfish thing to continue choosing in any way. Maybe they have some control, maybe they don't. I happen to believe that they do - they always have a little bit of self-determination left.

Rush's behavior has consistently jived with the above. He seems mean-spirited, small-minded, and just plain nasty to me.

The Right Wing seems to really enjoy judgmental people.

And, you're right. Rush can't even hold a relationship together for very long. One to talk, he is.

8. I imagine Limbaugh is very self-absorbed, as you say addicts are...

His show is ALL ABOUT HIM. Regardless of his political views, he makes
no effort to change the world in any way. He just goes on the air and
complains, basically. He's like this huge infant that has to monopolize
mommy's attention 24/7. Its not surprising that he doesn't have any
life off the air, but spends his time zombied out in front of the tube
watching football (so they say), has no friends and can't keep a wife.

I often wonder if he has any sense of the damage he has done to political
discourse in this country.
