Fuck it. I'll say it. Bush's base are a buncha' F-A-S-C-I-S-T-S!!!
His base consists of fundies, neo-nazis, corporatists and extreme authoritarians,...and if they cannot handle that they are FASCISTS that is their problem!!!

They are anti-democracy and pro-theocracy; anti-freedom and pro-invasion; anti-equality and pro-aristocracy; anti-justice and pro-profit; anti-liberty and pro-punitive; anti-decency/tolerance/respect and pro-inciteful/bullying/hateful!!!

They are anti-American!!!

Let them whine and cry about being pegged for WHAT THEY ARE BY WHAT THEY DO!!!

:argh:

1. Sure, but....
Bush and his crew are extremists enough, but to listen to the most reactionary party in the country, go to the C-SPAN website and search for the acceptance speech recently given by the Constitution Party's presidential candidate. This is what we will see from the Republicans within a few years.

It is hard to believe that ideas widely associated with fascism in Europe and the rest of the world are part of mainstream political dialogue in America.

3. I am raw right now because I watched mainstream news.
I will stop avoiding it because it is important to see the crap/garbage/commercials to which Americans glue their attentions.

It is unbelievable to me that our mainstream media actually participates in pushing possibilities of anti-civil/human/constitutional rights. The most manipulative of right-wing garbage appears,...and I just,...I just get angry!!!

7. More on the Constitution Party
Edited on Wed Jun-30-04 07:26 PM by The Screaming Icon
Here are some snippets from a message from David Adam Black on www.constitutionparty.com :

"You might give the Constitution Party a chance. I think youll find that its scalpel penetrates to the heart of the matter."

Nice imagery there...

"We are called to be soldiers, and soldiers belong in battle."

I don't think that the Constitution Party is the future of the Republican Party...it IS the Republican Party uncensored!

This "Constitution Party" will prove to be every bit as much a stick in the spokes to our enemies, as Nader is to us!!

5. Vicious ads
Pro-Republican PACs and special interests are airing ads on television attacking the substance of Clinton's book.

You can probably guess how relevant this is to the CURRENT election race.

9. Constitution
They take advantage of mentions of the "Creator" to further their agenda, but they have little use for the rest of the content.

14. No "Creator" in Constitution
The "Creator" and "Nature's God" are words in the Declaration of Independence. It has no real legal force. The Constitution on the other hand never mentions God or any supreme being. It is a totally secular Document and It Is The Supreme Law of the Land.

23. They forget who wrote those words ...

Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Indepence. Like most of our founding fathers, he was a deist. He believed in a "divine architect", not the meddlesome god of the Old and New Testament.

TJ WAS hip to Jesus. Though, he viewed Jesus as a philosopher. He held this view so strongly that he penned his own version of the New Testament without all the supernatural phenomenon.

So whenever a fundie brings up the Declaration of Independence, remind them that it's author was a heathen.

10. Corporistism = Fascism.
Who is controlling our country, by proxy *LOL*,....

Who?

Fascism is really about uncontrolled, uncensored greed. Throw out the principles and the people,...be visciously out for your own self.

Yup.

Fascism.

27. WTO and NAFTA ...

These are the pan-ultimate embodiment of a global fascist/feudal order. It is the erosion of the nation-state in favor of rule by international corporations.

28. Recommended Reading
"Jennifer Government" by Max Barry. It's out in paperback now. Read it. It is what the multi-nationals REALLY WANT. Very Orwellian. Hits close to home.

More info http://www.maxbarry.com

Play the NationStates game based on the novel...I originally found out about this game, and book, from this site, nearly two years ago.

11. Anger creates change
I remember them talking about it on Star Wars. The Emperor (Bush?) was telling Luke to Feel the Anger and then Luke threw him into a big hole in the spaceship. It was pretty exciting. And it changed the whole plot in a good way. So go ahead, anger is a potent agent of change.

Is there actually a question as to the fact that they're fascists?

We're just not supposed to say it! We're supposed to suffocate on our own excrement while they prepare our detention cells. Didn't you get the memo? I'll make sure you get on the routing list.

Edit: typo

24. Here's the source...
Excerpt:

Walter S. Carpenter, Jr. had been chairman of the finance committee of the Du Pont Corporation (1930-40). In 1933, Carpenter oversaw Du Pont's purchase of Remington Arms from Sam Pryor and the Rockefellers, and led Du Pont into partnership with the Nazi I.G. Farben Company for the manufacture of explosives. Carpenter became Du Pont's president in 1940. His cartel with the Nazis was broken up by the U.S. government. Nevertheless, Carpenter remained Du Pont's president as the company's technicians participated massively in the Manhattan Project to produce the first atomic bomb. He was chairman of Du Pont from 1948 to 1962, retaining high-level access to U.S. strategic activities.

Walter Carpenter and Prescott Bush were fellow activists in the Mental Hygiene Society. Originating at Yale University in 1908, the movement had been organized into the World Federation of Mental Health by Montagu Norman, himself a frequent mental patient, former Brown Brothers partner and Bank of England Governor. Norman had appointed as the federation's chairman, Brigadier John Rawlings Rees, director of the Tavistock Psychiatric Clinic, chief psychiatrist and psychological warfare expert for the British intelligence services. Prescott was a director of the society in Connecticut; Carpenter was a director in Delaware.

Being this close to the Du Pont empire, I would say he had knowledge at least, the names of many of the conspirators were not revealed in the Congressional Report. Researching all of this for a Novel I'm going to write. A "What if" as in "What if the Fascist coup succeeded?"
