So predicts a top Washington insider, who spoke to the DRUDGE REPORT on condition he not be named.

Personally, I would like Hillary as a VP. But she isn't a good VP candidate. We must define the difference between a candidate and an elected official. Hillary would be a poor choice for Kerry because she could not attract any states or votes that Kerry doesn't already have a strong lock on. Kerry needs an energetic democrat with a southern drawl in his voice if he wishes to win enough electoral votes to capture the Presidency. It's just that simple.

That's why Bill Clinton was able to stay in office for two terms. He was supported very well in the southern and mid-western states, better than most Democrats can ever hope to be. Why? Because he seemed familiar. He was a local, and people like voting for someone who seems like they could be their neighbor. Kerry doesn't have this going for him. . . I'm going to vote for him, but he'd be dreadfully boring to live next door to. Hillary doesn't have that going for her either. They'll get branded as NorthEastern Democrats and put the election at a close enough pace that Bush's hired thugs can steal it away again.
