Question about Jack Ryan's pullout
What is Illinois law regarding Ryan's decision to pull out of the Senate race? How will a replacement be chosen? Who gets to decide, and what are the options of any others who wish to be considered?

Probably this has been discussed before, so if you can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

7. Not so...
This happened early enough that Illinois law is quite clear on it. The Party gets to appoint a replacement. And it doesn't matter whether that is the Democratic Party or the Fascist Party, err... I mean the Republican Party.
