The three great conservative lies
1) Terrorist only respect strength.

Fact- Israel that has taken the strongest stance possible against terrorist is the number one terrorist target. Seems shows of strength or resolve does not intimidate or stop terrorists.

2) Terrorists hate us because of our freedoms and life style.

Fact- Canada enjoys the same freedoms and life style as ourselves. Yet they are not the targets of terrorists. Why? Because they do not meddle in the affairs of others and screw other people.

3) Being anti bush is anti American.

Fact- Being pro bush is anti American as bush. Americans love freedom and privacy and bush has taken that away with the patriot act. America likes to be the good guy that never attacks first. bush took that away when he attacked Iraq with out cause.

3. 4) The money you pay due to taxation is your money.
The fallacy of this argument is that, despite the rhetoric of the anti-taxation movement, the money one pays to any government - state, local, or national - is used to provide a service to its citizens. Conservatives often argue that they do not use government services - the usual implication is that they do not use MediCare or welfare - but much that we as individuals benefit from comes from government funding, and often we do not realize it. Unless one does not use public roads, or public transportation, or public utilities, etc., one is constantly using services provided by public tax revenue. In a simplistic way, taxes are the bill for services rendered.
