Must see! This press conf was on Tues before publication in JAMA, with signatures of about 9000 doctors. VERY moving stories, and very convincing argument for revolutionary change, NOT incremental. I've been watching for follow-up in the media. Almost nothing! It's very disappointing....

1. It was excellent - I like her putting the insurance industry pretend

reporter in her place.


On risk of payout "controls" that the industry wants via denial for service or very low "full payment" of service, she told her(the ins ind lady) that universal health in oecd countries is 50% as costly as in the USA- that people do not consume unlimited amounts of health procedures - just enough to get healthy and stay healthy - with the latter usuage controlled by the professionalism of Doctors - and right off the get go, having one plan, set of forms, instead of 600 or more per town, will cut the current 30% overhead to 15%.
