what does john kerry stand for?
Taken from Johnkerry.com - on the issues

1. On the economy: "John Kerry is unveiling a comprehensive economic agenda that will unleash the productive potential of America's economy to help it create 10 million jobs in his first term as President."
-Thanks John, let me know when it's actually unveiled okay?

2. Winning the Peace in Iraq: "What’s needed now is leadership – to finish the job in Iraq the right way – because America can and must do better."
-I know it's fun to guess and all, but could you be a little more specific about what the right way is? Oh wait, here it is: "the establishment of a high commissioner for governance and reconstruction, and the creation of a NATO mission for Iraq."
-Ahhh, more beauracracy - thanks Kerry, that's exactly what we need more red tape and paper pushers. Let me know how that works out for you. Sure seems to be working pretty well for the environment.

3. Access to Affordable Health Care: "John Kerry believes that your family’s health is just as important as any politician's in Washington. Our nation needs a leader who has the courage to take on the big insurance and drug companies to make that same health care plan affordable for every American."
-Agreed, but if only we had, oh I don't know, a specific plan to achieve that.

4. Education: "By supporting teachers, reducing class sizes, rebuilding crumbling schools, and standing up for high standards in our public education system, John Kerry has the courage to fight for our children’s future every day."
-Is this a policy or an answer from a Ms. America pageant? And where does this money come from during a war?

5. "John Kerry is for the children of America."
-Thank God! With all those Anti-children candidates out there I think it's great that Kerry sets himself apart

I believe at this point in the campaign Bill Clinton actually published a bestseller book in which he outlined his platform.

I'm sure there's one in your area.
Get involved, if you really want to be up to date on the issues.

Maybe "the big man" needs to get another messenger.

6. Randi Rhodes
said that she thinks that kerry is trying to lose on purpose, so that democrats won't be blamed when iraq and jobs situation completely implodes, may be we should just let the republicans completely destroy themselves...

16. Yeah, with good reason!
Clinton was GOP-lite in his economic policies. His "boom" didn't do a damned thing for me, and I've got a huge amount of company.

One thing Clinton didn't have was a track record taking on the Bush crime family. Kerry has done so twice, with the BCCI investigation and the Iran Contra hearings. For that reason alone, we may need him.

As for his speaking in generalities, so does everybody else at this point. We know what Bush is all about. Do you really think four more years of it will improve him?

5. Which Democrat did you support, just curious?
I recognize you may be disappointed that s/he didn't win, but to dissect what Kerry stands for on his website seems that you are holding some bitterness?

14. Well, of course. What else?
Everybody who has problems with Kerry is just bitter because he won. Just like everybody who has problems with Bush hates America.

11. Answers (this'll floor you)
1. Assuming he's got a plan, he sure as hell won't say it now because * will hijack them. * has done it before...

2. See #1, but it's more likely * will be his usual crash and flee self. As with #1, maybe Kerry is waiting until the LAST MOMENT, proving he really is sharper than people know him to be.

3. See #s 1 and 2. He probably won't want to lose too many voters too soon. Wouldn't you agree?

4. There's only one way. The "R T" phrase. Or can't you think it out? He sure as hell won't say what needs to happen because he will lose votes. You don't want him to lose votes, do you?

5. Agreed. Until he clarifies his statements, this one's too ambiguous to be blindly believed.

Be patient. He'll back up his claims, if he's serious. If he's lying, then he will lose and we'll be stuck with something far worse... Unless we can convince the entire adult voting-capable population to vote Green, nice as that is... (ROTFLMAO... that's too ludicrous to be take seriously and I sure has hell would never vote for Nader.)

12. Go back to johnkerry.com - you missed some pages
There's lots more there.

Once you are on the home page, click on the issues tab on the right hand side. . .

For example, on the economy, I found a bunch of links to read more, which you don't mention. I don't know, maybe you need to clear your browser's cache or something.

Another good place to go is the Videos page. There are lots of policy speeches to watch.

13. He has put forward parts of his plan.
I think his domestic policies are pretty sharp.

Didn't he lay out a plan for getting corps to keep jobs here? You also forgot environment and investment in alternative energy.

-Thank God! With all those Anti-children candidates out there I think it's great that Kerry sets himself apart

I think Bush can be flagged as one of the Anti-children Candidates: the country is under terrorist attack and he continues his public visit to an elementary School. When informed of another attack, he reads a book to the kids for 7 more minutesthen he hangs out in the conference room at the school for 30 minutes.

Regardless of what he as a pResident should have been doing, we all know that as the leader of the country, he is going to be a target.

What pro-children candidate would put a school full of children at risk by staying in that building and bringing danger to the schoolhouse? (thank you Michael Moore for pointing out that misstep on 9/11).
