F911 Director's Cut
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 12:40 PM by gulliver
I guess we won't know if Moore included the following until next week, but what about the following?

1. Bush saying that "... man Mr. Lay was a supporter of my (his) opponent." (That piece of footage should hopefully resurface when/if Lay is indicted. It should be paired with footage of Bush with Lay at the baseball game and riding on the Enron jet during Campaign 2000.)

2. Bush saying the sixteen words "The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa." He said that in the SOTU and has yet to be held personally accountable for the obvious evasiveness of the words and their ultimate falsehood.

I'm concerned about Moore's focusing on Bush's Saudi connections. Will a reporter ask Bush whether Saudi money ever bailed him out of financial problems? It's tough to say, because that reporter can expect the answer the Bushies are already floating. Namely, "That's so offensive and ridiculous it doesn't deserve the dignity of a response." (A good reporter would just say, "Yes, but would you mind answering the question just to silence the critics?")

I wish Moore would do a director's cut DVD with new footage. Then advertise it on TV (complete with new Bush video) throughout the campaign.
