Bush seemed drunk last night
Saw Bush give a statement/press conference last night about the power outage. He seemed "out of sorts". Even more than usual.

To me he looked drunk.

And the statement/press conference was taped.

What's up with that?

Anybody else notice this?

2. Patterns of Force
Star Trek - 1968. The one where a friend of Kirk's converts an alien planet to Nazism, only to have one of his lieutenants drug him up and take over.

3. I didn't see it,
but someone who did told me he was stumbling around at the podium.

4. That's why it took so long for him to make a statement
they were trying to sober him up. Clinton would have been on the airwaves within minutes. He was a TRUE leader.

5. The bastard looked like shit
Usually I turn the tv when ever our most glorious high comander codpiece comes on, but I glanced up and the chimp looked like shit warmed over. I think we may be getting to the moron*, but I don't think the retaliation is going to be pretty. Hang on tight boys and girls.

7. They don't dare let him 'go live' during emergencies
It takes at least 5 hours to sober him up and get him to memorize a few simple lines.

Same thing happened the day the Columbia blew up, but then the networks were still willing to pretend he was giving a live speech. Seems their weren't willing to lie for him anymore and they were all announcing that we would be seeing a video of his statements, not a live feed. Even then he was a half hour behind schedule. Must have taken a number takes to get it even sort of ready for prime time.

8. Damn right he looked drunk!
If you can watch the video again, check him out in profile as he walked to the podium. If that wasn't drunk, I'm not a Southern White Boy who has imbibed every alcoholic beverage known to man at least twice!

His face also looked thinner than it did 24 hours earlier during his ranch appearances--like he had lost 10 pounds. His eyes were utterly BLACK, devoid of life.

Then there were those annoying pauses in his delivery, as though someone was feeding him lines through an earpiece. We have seen this before, have we not?

To me, he appeared to 'wobble' from time to time, as if he wanted to go to sleep--but was jolted back to wakefulness by something.

And consider this part: the little shit began answering the reporters' questions before they had finished asking them! Tell me they weren't plants!

Something stinks here.

:argh:

16. Yeah, I'd like to see that. Hope someone has the link.
I was talking on the phone and had the TV on last night when his press conf. started. I just hit the remote and turned the damned thing off. Wish I'd watched it now.

I did see his "remarks" to reporters later in the evening. That's the one where he was in some room with a bookcase. It was about a 20 second segment during which there were 4 or 5 edits. That was horrifying, IMO. That he can't just vamp for that brief period without the media having to edit out god knows what!

This scares me, I don't mind saying!

I watched but not real closely, I'd really like to take another gander. Poor lil boy king did look kinda wan and ashen I thought. Maybe his system falters somewhat when he is on vacay and not doing evil deeds.

19. Appears to be on CNN's homepage
but I don't use Real Player, so I couldn't watch it to check. The description's somewhat ambiguous; it's possible he sobered up and made another appearance this morning. (Description says he praises quick response to crisis, which I don't remember hearing during his floundering last evening)

10. Maybe his stumbling appearance was due to his

jogging in 100 degree Texas heat!

What a moran. Maybe he has heat stroke.

You guys may be right. He may have had too many scorpion bowls aboard AF1.

17. Plus, even tho it was taped
It was later than the announced time for it. This was noted by whoever I was watching (CNN or MSNBC) at the time. The anchor wondered aloud why it was taped and also why it ws late. There was no explanation of either that I heard.

Maybe they didn't want the light to shine too brightly on the fact that he was in CALIFORNIIA, after much noise that he white house was staying out of the recall mess.

23. he started with a loooooong smirk
Anyone else catch that? Before he began speaking, he stared blankly into the room and smirked the biggest smirk I've ever seen. It seemed to go on forever.

There is something seriously wrong with the guy. Ever since that bizarro "press conference" back in March before the war on Iraq, things have gotten stranger and stranger with the guy.

One thing that is certain is that he was being fed the lines. It is too clowdy here to look at his face and the question part isn't included.

26. I saw on Faux (forgive me)
I was flipping through channels and caught (on Faux) the Boy George speaking at the fund-raiser. I'm pretty sure it was live. If I had paid a grand to be there and listen to him, I'd want my money back. He was horrid. Delivering his one line statements and making very little sense. The sentences were totally unconnected. The flags in the background made a nice touch. :eyes:

I'm so embarassed he's the president.

I believe he only gets stressed when he's thinking about his own little self. Probably worried that another big energy scandal with his name on it is going to surface!
