This always comes up in the right-wing media, what exactly happened with this story? I am sure that this has been discussed at length before, sorry I missed it.

...that it was a Sudanese businessman, who didn't have the authority of the Sudanese government to do anything, that said he had all this info on OBL. (Here's the don't quote me part)... if I remember correctly, the guy was Mansoor Ijaz, who is now Fox's 'terrorism expert'.

I just printed the Snopes page out for ammunition when the loony e-mails start arriving. Something tells me that loony e-mail season is going to be particularly bad this year.

By the way, perfectly rational, intelligent people sometimes get taken in by these e-mails. I know a couple of people who were almost taken in by the "Ollie North warned us about Osama" e-mail.

When the Afgan saturation bombing campaign was going on, Pakistan stated that they would turn over OBL if the campaign were stopped. Bush said No deal, no strings attached or nothing.
Anyone remember this, or can provide a link?
