are US domestic policing policies racist?
I've beeng thinking about this for a while now, so dont flame me until you think about what i've written for a bit. The so called War On Drugs hasnt stopped any drugs from entering america, but it has sure filled up black inner city neighborhoods with lots of cops.

I forget the statistics, but the percentage of blacks vs. whites that are in jeil is hugely disproportionate.

when i'm listening to the news, robbery suspects are almost always generic black males.

while i'm thinking about that, when was the last time you heard of a white person being beaten to death by cops for "resisting arrest"?

any thoughts?

1. Duh
Even Justice Department research has shown that it's racist, or at least that performed prior to 2000.

2. Of course they are.
The police are there to protect rich property owners, predominantly white.

Us poor whites are taught to be racists, so we don't unite with the poor folks of other colors to overrun the police and start guillotining the rich.

By criminalizing poor people, the power elite is more able to control the rabble.

7. "Guillotining the rich"
You know...since the Bushevik takeover of Formeerly Free America, I might consider giving that a try. ESPECIALLY when I consider what they have in store for us!

8. They will force The People to that with their ongoing hubristic opression.
The arrogance and cynicism of the power elite will prove to be their downfall.

3. In 1998, a gang of white men
attacked my nephew, who has brown skin, in a dark parking lot. They were angry that he won a state title in high school sports, and had gotten a good deal of media attention. 15 members of the gang attacked my nephew & a friend by sneaking up behind them, knocking them out with some unknown weapon, and, while my nephew was unconscious on the ground, with his hands still in his pockets, three men (weighing 280, 290, and 310 lbs) beat him savagely. They left him for dead. He recovered, though he is deaf in one ear, has life-long physical injuries to his neck & shoulders, and was unable to take advantage of the sports scholarship he had won for college.

The gang leader got a $50 fine for this. He kicked my unconscious nephew, and hit him at least a dozen times. No penalty for that. He had an open beer at the time, hence his fine.

My friend Robert Kennedy Jr, son of the Attorney General who did the most for civil rights in America, advocated with the republican NYS Attorney General to prosecute it as a hate crime. But the fact that witnesses heard the gang calling my nephew a "stupid nigger" as they beat him did not convince the A.G. that race played a role. Moral of the story: don't have an open beer when you lynch someone in New York State.

5. What a sad and shameful story.
Karma will get those bastards that did that to your nephew.

9. When there were no legal consequences
the behavior continued. One of the gang leaders would be arrested in 2000, after a series of vicious attacks against Asian-American students at the State University of New York at Binghamton. Attorneys from the Asian American Legal Defense & Education Fund from NYC attempted to get an assault on a 125lb student, by three SUNY-B wrestlers (all members of the racist gang) prosecuted for a hate crime. I provided the DA in the case the paperwork from the related case. It didn't matter. The gang leader was sentenced to community service, and then had the sentence suspended. It is hard to describe what it does to the victims and families when the police & courts do not take vicious hate crimes where people are hurt, seriously. The Asian American student suffered a fractured skull from a 250lb "runner-up" NYS wrestling champion (who needed 2 friends with him to dare fight a student literally 1/2 his size!)

4. Of course they are.
The jails are proof.

Of course to racists like republicans it just "proves" blacks are inferior.

Fucking savages.

10. Yes
My wife, who is not white, has gotten pulled out of line in airports for the 'random' search quite a few times. It's happened to me - a white guy - once. Could be coincidence...
