I think this deserves a thread: CLINTON made 1 mistake per 8 pages
when producing the recording of his book (17 hours!) and professional readers on the average make 1 mistake per page! isn't he just wonderful? (mentioned on C-Span this morning).

Remember what happened when Bush was trying to read the "Little Goat"
to children? That was all his little brain could handle...the WTC attack didn't have any space to penetrate in his mind...
He wouldn't even try to read a 600-page book (let alone try to write even a pamphlet!)...and his keepers are smart enough NOT to allow him to do it!

1. Bill Clinton is a brilliant man
History will vindicate his reputation and shame those who tried to bring him down.

2. He is amazing!
I suppose if you ask any pug WHY they hate Hill and Bill so much, they cannot tell you. They stutter around and try to remember why they were told to hate them. Could it be that these people cannot identify with or relate to brilliance? * does not intimidate them.

8. I think that was from a hoax site.
Lovenstein Institute or something? It's on Snopes. It listed the supposed IQs of recent presidents. But no IQ information has been released by those presidents. Still, I think it is entirely possible that Clinton's IQ is 160 or higher. He was a Rhodes Scholar after all. Do you remember the time his teleprompter malfunctioned and he had to "wing" his speech for several minutes? * couldn't last a second without his teleprompter.

6. Last Night With The In-Laws...Rock-Ribbed Repugnicans
Well not quite these days....gone is the Bushboy praise and the Clinton bashing. It's downright amazing.

My wife's sister's husband (still used to his Repugnican days when I refused to call him "brother-in-law"...but in the past couple years, he's "seen the light" and is now proudly sports an "Impeach Bush" sticker on his PT Cruiser <ugh> and his family were having a "discussion" about the Raygun memorial.

His family have cooled to the point where Dan's father...whose never voted for a Democrat and to do so would require divining...said he's definitely staying home in November and if things keep getting worse, he may just vote for Kerry. Jaws dropped! Then two of Dan's brothers came out and chided the old man saying "we're going to vote for Kerry...if we can, you can, too". I just took it all in. Gloating serves no purpose...Kharma is a wonderful thing.

10. Yes, he is
I read an interview with Gabriel Garcia Marquez, during which he described sitting up late with Clinton, discussing books. Clinton quoted the opening passages of "The Sound and the Fury" from memory. If you can do that, you've got a mind.

He's even MORE special to me because the repubs have a visceral hatred for him....which puts him very high on my list of favorite people.

14. He's #1 in my book....
You'll know you go on a good interview when you get asked a question which reveals how you might approach a problem and SOLVE a problem. Point knowledge about things is no real measure of intelligence, and is not an indication of how well you might do on the job. Clinton was a master at working a problem or an issue, he had incredible political savvy, and phenomenal perseverance.

I have to admit I had my doubts about Clinton at first, but when he got in and effectively reversed Reaganomics by raising the upper rate to around 39%, I jumped on the bandwagon.

The fact that the economy was running smoothly and the debt was being paid down had to drive them literally insane. The "taxes are stealing" right wing wacko Reaganites had to unleash the Langoliers.

Clinton completely changed the political debate. On the McLaughlin Group this Sunday John made an important point concerning how we've evolved in the political debate. He pointed out that Reagan literally took the political argument away from the Democrats. Up till that point, it was what he called the “me-too” problem. In other words, the Republicans said “well we believe in social programs too, but just a bit less”, etc...

Reagan effectively switched the argument in favor of the Republicans, causing the Democrats to become the “me-too” party....we believe in tax cuts too, just not as much. Democrats were effectively behind the 8 ball at that point.

What Clinton represented was not only taking back the argument, but giving us all what we really wanted....what could be called the “cake and eat it too”!. We could have a good economy, pay down the debt, and in time actually afford relevant social programs and better educational assistance. Any one who truly appreciates this "rising above politics" and really fixing America would probably agree with me that he has to be included in the "greatest" presidents list.

He was a master to bring us to the center, a place which is actually where America should be. The fact that the Republican party has evolved to find this completely unacceptable is a testament to the fact they are truly under right wing, corporate slim, psycho religious control.
