Poll question: How many more phases of the October Surprise are remaining?
Edited on Mon Jun-07-04 12:19 PM by tom_paine
Raygun "dies": Phase I -- 24/7 Conveniently Timed Free Campaign Commercial reminiscent of the Funeral of Stalin.

Man, I was predicting his "timely" Summertime 2004 Death, which I've been predicting ever since it became clear what the Imperial Family Bush actually was. We walked in the house, and what a surprise, Raygun is dead!

GREAT TIMING, Busheviks. It couldn't have worked out better if you'd planned it! Errr.....

So, I have long been saying we were due for a Triple (perhaps Quadruple) October Surprise, and that how bad things were will be likely indicated by how free from investigation/prosecution the Busheviks feel (and they should be feeling like they could murder 1000 people in cold blood in the village square and get away with it, because I think they could if they dared) in order to execute these phases.

Well, Raygvun has had his Conveniently Timed Death, the next subsection of Phase I will be the 24/7 Free Campaign Commerical which will give the Imperials a temporary bounce.

When that ends, get ready, IMHO for Phase II, the Conveniently Timed "Capture" of Osama Bin Laden.

Then be ready for Phase III -- LIHOP #2, the Busheviks let San Franscisco take a hit. Remember, al-Qaeda and the Busheviks BOTH hate San Francisco and California for the SAME REASONS..

If the Busheviks are feeling totally like the King of England, circa 1590 (where they want to take us back to), they will feel comfortable and safe enough to do what they did for New York on 9-11 to San Francisco on 9- or 10-something of this year.

So, my question is how many more October Suprises are we in for still? They shut down Raygun's feeding tubes early, but of course they're in trouble and panicking because some of the Old Republic is fighting sluggishly back and people are starting to wake.

But what is next, if anything?

1. An October surprise can't, by defination, happen in June.

3. Remember how in the Old Days, football season started in September?
And now it starts in AugusT?

I trust you understand my point. As envelopes are pushed, in this case, as Liberals and Moderates start fighting back with unexpected fierceness against Bushevik Tyranny and the creaky machinery of the Old American Republic stirs to life like it might actually do something, it would seem that the very common and human characteristic of "pushing the envelope" would dictate that, like Sports Seasons and Christmas Ads, October Surprises would start earlier, also.

I wouldn't get too hung up on the semantics of the thing. That's a Dead End.

5. I guess I could understand your analogy if the football season
started in march.

6. Fine, we agree to disagree then
You are still too much hung up on the semantics, even going so far as to mention the 3 motnhs/1 month disparity in my analogies.

But my experience 9and my apologies if this offends) that people who rely on semantic argument do so for a reason. I leave you to guess what it is.

Stick with your semantic "debunking", if you wish.

Just don't expect me to respect that type of a "refutation" which of course isn't really one at all.

16. tom_paine, I haven't seen ONE indctation so far as to how * is benefitting
from Reagan's death. If he died in September or October, then I would suspicious, but he didn't conveniently "die". BTW, just because that sarin gas shell was found, doesn't mean they can't pull a WMD discovery on us. Consider including "found" WMDs in your poll.

17. Good points, all mot78
I think a free 24/7 campaign commercial of Revisionist Hostory, once again enabled and amplified by the "Liberal Media", at a time when even millions of dollars in ads aren't making the Bunnypants* pig look like it's wearing lipstick.

Or the "eulogy" that the Emperor* is going to read at Raygun's funeral.

Oh my yes, the Imperial Family has benefitted from Raygun at least as much in death as they did from his guillibility and confusion in life.

18. One immediate benefit for *
Media buzz surrounding the twin CIA resignations of Tenet and Pavitt have completely dropped off the radar with the 24/7 Reagan Memorial coverage.

And you're totally right about the WMDs. Check out this link.

2. when i talk to people about this, i give it 50/50% they'll hit a city
depends on the Plame Investigation and the decisions made by the CIA.

i am hopeful that BushCo will relinquish power without another 9/11 of any variety, but they are war criminals and must know prosecution faces them once they leave office.

so, 50/50.

but either way osama is up next.

10. Pulling out all the stops, including martial law.
Which leads me to believe it would probably be D.C., the center of government, in order to justify it to the public. They will probably hit San Francisco also to make it look like the multiple city attacks of 2001, but hitting D.C. is key.

Wow, I gotta say I was saying this was gonna happen too, tompaine, but it still shocked the hell out of me to turn on the news and find out they did it! Now we know, they won't hold anything back in their desire for conquest. I voted for the quadruple and I'm thinking, what else have they got up their sleeve that I'm missing?

14. Please elaborate. I'm interested in your perspective.
How does this (what I consider to be a) 24/7 Free Campaign Commercial and excuse to Bash Liberals and Democrats hurt the Imperial Family?

I ask this not to be mean or dismissive, but because perhaps you see something I don't.

19. Well, I actually don't think they control it all.
We should keep in mind that they are incompetent and lazy as well as ruthless and without moral fiber.

We knew Reagan would die at some point. Given that the Reagans and Bushes are not close, and that Bush was abroad when it happened (inconvenient to have to hurry back after the Bilderberger meeting?), I wouldn't necessarily say there was any collusion there. Certainly, the Bush team will use it and abuse it to link the end of the Soviet Union, the victory in WW II, and possibly Columbus discovering America to the wondrous successes of Bush I and Bush II.

Osama has been not well with kidney disease for years, so is likely on ice, with only faked video to remember him by.

Another 9-11? Sure, these guys would do anything. Didn't JEB make an offhand about SF, endangered species or something? Or did he really say that?

But there are several things that may or may not be in the plan.

There is a lot of unrest in Saudi Arabia -- if the royal family falls, does that help the Bushies? I don't know. It would be a huge disruption of world oil markets, and of the Middle East. Even if Bush wants Saudi Arabia to fall, I'm not so sure what happens if that turmoil is put into motion.

The US dollar is extremely fragile, and I'm pretty worried about that. Maybe that's part of the October Surprise, but geez, do we really want to be Argentina? Okay, so take us over and put in martial law, but don't even bad guys want there to be something left to control? Or, is that the point -- bring us to our knees completely financially, and then control every last asset of any value, because those prepared can buy it up for pennies on the dollar.

Dunno.

I do think it's possible that a military/intell group could save the day. Zinni speaking out may be a tip of that iceberg.

As someone over here at DU put it the other day (speaking of Tenet, but I think it's true in general):

"It's a big game of chess going on, and we can only see a corner of the table."

20. I don't think they control "it all" either
By I do believe they have the same Totalitarian Predilection for Lies, Staged Evenets, and Control of the Uncontrollable "Mob Mind".

So did Hitler and Stalin.

That chess comment is very prescient and true.

23. First, by comparison Reagan makes Chimp look like warm dogshit
Reagan was an actor (not a very good one, but experienced).

Bush just acts like an asshole all the time.

The focus on Reagan makes Bush look really bad and actually Kerry has more Reagan like physical qualities (without the great "sense of humor") which I think makes Kerry look more Reaganesque than Bush by comparison.

Second: Bush looked like an ass next to Reagan in France at the D-Day ceremonies. Reagan's speech 20 years ago there was well done.

Third - Bush's whole speech and parade in Europe got pissed on by the timing of Reagan's death. Bush had planned to look presidential there but instead he just got bumped.

Any other timing would have helped Bush, I think. Happening when all eyes were on Bush in an event which everyone pretty much has to honor, stole Bush's thunder.

Also, the media has NOT been all glorifying of Reagan.

Aaron Brown was quite biting last night and the alternative media is likewise laying it on him. Sure most of the bluster is about what a sweet old guy he was, --- but in reality all the old dirt of iran-contra etc is now raised in our consciousness and we all remember what an asshole Reagan was to let Bush, North et al run our democracy into the sewers.

I think it hurts.

THEY may think itr helps. But THEY are wrong.

24. I am stocking up on canned food
and, after seeing "Day after Tomorrow" saving my newspapaers to ball up as insulation for next winter. (We will live like mice in our basement inside a wad of shredded paper which the "heroes in "Day After..." SHOULD have known to do)

I am filling barrells of water from my well and I have dusted off my old hunting rifle (wild turkey lookin' good - I usedta be a vegetarian)) I am also saving leaves from trees, berries, edi\ble plants and herbs for nutritious teas for when the food runs out.

Wild blueberry plants, plantain, burdock, dandelions, poke weed, wild onions, even clover, chicory, plantain, and gincko leaves driedf and stored will provide nutrition which can last (with clean water) for months.

Any questions?

You too can be an urban survivalist in a few easy lessons.
