Some Help Please, in advance.
I am so tired tonight I cant stay to listen and respond. I need help to defend from freepers at work.

They say Kerry is all blowhard and his wind is strong. They also say that Kerry will not offer any ways to achieve what he says he will do.

They say the only ideas he has offered are already being done by shrub. Talking to korea, ect. Naming a person to look for WMD, they say DUH...Dept of national securtity.

Then they say he shows true colors by saying he will stop nucular weapons development here. They say another show of cutting military.

I had a long day and need to zzzzzz. I thank any in advance for advice, links, anything to address them.

Need to sleep now, Charlie.

1. Have any of them tried the flip-flopping line yet?
If so, give them this link:

http://www.americanprogress.org/site/pp.asp?c=biJRJ8OVF&b=42263

Have them read that and then if they even TRY to say "wellll, people change their mind when presented with different facts..." remind them that this is bush changing his mind in just the course of THREE AND A HALF YEARS on that many issues, and if they use that argument, they can NEVER again use it on Kerry, because you can just say "um, what was that you said about people changing their mind in light of different facts?" HA!

There's also a wealth of information at the Kerry website. Print off some stuff from that. I have found the best way to shut people up is to hand them some stuff to read. Of course they don't want to read it. If they do, then they are better informed. If they don't, they've lost the argument. Tell them you'll discuss it with them when they've finished reading.

There's also this, which is a real gem:

http://www.buzzflash.com/farrell/04/06/far04018.html

The first link I gave you shows you what bush has flip-flopped on in the past three years, and the second link shows you the many things the GOP has violated since they wrote that platform in 2000. It's chilling, actually.

As for this line: "They say the only ideas he has offered are already being done by shrub." Uh, REALLY? Then either they or you or both aren't reading his website. Read his speeches. Especially with regard to foreign policy. Pull out all the specifics. There are loads. Also he now has a list of things he would do in the first 100 days, which is very specific. Print that off for them.

In fact, if you REALLY want to piss them off, make a nice little packet with first a lot of great stuff from the Kerry site (cut and paste into Word to save on paper) and then the two links I gave you. Put it in one packet and make multiple copies. Then when they stop by your cubicle, you can hand them a fat packet and suggest they get back to you when they are done reading ALL of it. It'll take them DAYS, if they do any actual work at work!

I am in Texas. Thus have developed these strategies.

2. i tend to go for the jugular
i basically tell them I cant personally think of one thing that Bush hasn't completely fucked up. Then I ask them to tell me something that he hasn't fucked up.

Don't get drawn into defending Kerry, he doesn't need to be defended because he's not President yet. Bush does need defending, and what's great about it is he's completely undefendable, even if youre not a kool-aid swilling knuckledragging neanderthal freeper.

Stick to the points:
Economy: record surplus reduced to record deficit in 3.5 years. 500billion dollar a year deficit. record job losses. 10million dollars a DAY in Iraq WHILE W CUTS TAXES. spiking college tuitions (this never bothers the freeper types I just threw it in there, they don't go to college because college is packed full of "liberal professors").

Foreign Policy: where the WMD's is at? where are our allies? why did W go against his dad's foreign policy, why did W contradict the Powell doctrine? how many times will Bush FLIP-FLOP on why we went to war? Has the Iraq war created more terrorists?

hope this helps
