Does anyone remember when the whole recall issue started?
Grey Davis was just re-elected last November, right? It seems to me that this recall nonsense has been going on for quite a few months. How long after the election did the Republicans wait until they decided to have a recall?

1. I heard it was the day after he got in.
The GOP right wing is going to win and they do not seem to care what they do. Courts put them in, redo the voting map, recall, tell lies, and most likely buy votes with real cash in hand and I hope not kill off the one that is running in the Dem party. They seem to get meaner by the day, is it because people seem to see what is going on?

5. I'd sell out Gray Davis if someone offered me enough cash
How much do I get for a Yes vote on the recall, and who's handing out the bucks?

:freak:

P.S. Are you being serious?

7. The recall thing isn't new with the Repubs....
It's a ridiculous, crappy law that's been used several times over the past to change the outcome of legitimate elections. It's wrong now - it was wrong then....

8. They get meaner by the day because they are getting closer to their goal
One-Party Totalitarian hegemony.

It is also because of the cumulative "pressure build-up" effect that comes of playing with the fire that is Nazi-style propaganda and demonization tactics.

I have always said and will continue to say that this must eventually reach it's ultimate end that we're all aware of. Dehumanization like that can have only one end, particularly when the victims start fighting back and hating in return.

A foregone conclusion, only stoppable by Orweliian Totalitarianism as the Soviets held back their internecine tensions with Tyranny. Not "if", but "when".

Don't be surprised when it happens.

2. I remember seeing them talking about it on TV
3 months after the election. Now they're saying "9 months after the election," but i that's NOW, after all the signatures were collected and everything. It began to be talked about publicly at least 3 months after.

3. The election was Nov. 5 of last year.
That means that only 9 months have passed since election day. I know this recall has been going on for at least two months, I am am pretty sure it started well before that. Unfortunately, I wasn't paying very much attention, because I didn't take it seriously.
