he U.S. and Saudi-educated head of Iraq’s Governing Council was named president of the interim Iraqi government Tuesday, after the Americans’ preferred candidate turned down the post

The real power will lie with the Prime Minister Allawi, former CIA confidant and tipster for the invasion...and good friend of the US.

I heard that none of these people can run for election in Jan. '05, according to the rules. Of course with BushCo rules don't mean a whole lot so that could change.

Come July I think that there will be an Uprising of millions of Iaqis demanding that the Occupation ends and the troops pack up and leave.

5. Saddam was a Sunni also....
The Shiites will not be quick to accept any Sunnis in high leadership positions, imo. The gate has been opened for a religious civil war, it appears to me.

3. I suspect Fallujah will be the first to disavow the new president al Yawer
They are forming their own mini Islamic state and others will probably follow in the weeks and months ahead. Fasten your seatbelt. Let the games begin!
