Did Tucker just make up something on Crossfire today?
Edited on Mon May-24-04 05:45 PM by Bombtrack
I know, I know, that's all he does I'm sure some will respond. But most of the time he just gives the slanted talking points.

Today he said, and I'm paraphrasing "At Fenway, Kerry was booed out of the stands" during an attack about Bostonians alledgedly being unhappy about the possibility of delaying the nominations acceptance. I watched this whole game, and I just saw a clip of his signing autographs on at fenway, either before or after the game. And during the game I didn't hear any booes at all and Kerry was clearly surrounded by people who were either happy to see him or not expressing anything.

I googlenews'ed "John Kerry" + Fenway + booed, then booed. And I came up empty.

Can some people E-Mail CNN about this. I'm pretty sure Tucker wasn't watching the game.

3. I saw the clips here on New England Cable network
and saw a whole bunch of people wanting to shake hands with him, etc. I saw no booing. I'm sure some redneck drunk somewhere yelled 'boo' and the republicans tanslated that into "just everybody"---that's the mentality of little kids, you know.

6. Gee, you'd think if it was that humiliating for Kerry
Tucker would have cued up the videotape and played it.

7. from the Boston Herald
Kerry was greeted with hearty applause as well as a few boos as he neared his third-row seats just before the game. He sat with his daughter; John Sasso, his point man at the Democratic National Committee; and Meg Vaillancourt, a Red Sox public affairs official. After the game, he left the field through the Sox dugout.

emphasis mine, of course.

8. Tell you what, Pretty Boy
Let's see Stupidhead go to a ball game and mingle with the crowd. He doesn't do that, you know. He went to a Cardinals game, got introduced, threw a ceremonial pitch, then skedaddled. Same with his NASCAR photo op, which succeeded only in pissing off a bunch of race fans because of all the security that went into Chimpy's brief appearance.

I'd give a shiny nickel to see Bush show up at, say, a Rangers game, and mingle with the crowd throughout. He'd leave the stadium so covered in mustard, nachos and beer you'd have trouble recognizing him.

9. We have a new kid named Youkilis....
Every time he makes a good play or hit the crowd yells "YOOOOOOOU"....maybe that was close enough for the "liberal media" to misunderstand what was going on. I watched the whole game and heard no booing. On the contrary, the people there seemed delighted to see him, and in a Sox jacket to boot.
