1. As long as the former wrestling coach is trashing a former POW, that's...
all that matters. Did Hastert clear this with his master, Tom DeLay?

2. Shows how divorced they've become from reality
Like McCain needs any lessons on the cost of war from Chicken Hastert. But facts and reality stopped mattering a long time ago for these people.

7. DO IT! DO IT! PUSH HIM!
Come on GOP, insult McCain some more. Push him. Push him hard.

Then, he'll pull a Jeffords on you guys and you'll be FUCKED!

McCain: "All we are called upon to do is not spend our nation into bankruptcy while our soldiers risk their lives. I fondly remember a time when real Republicans stood for fiscal responsibility. Apparently those days are long gone for some in our party."

9. When will Republican voters realize
that the party of fiscal responsibility is the Democrats ...

welfare programs for individuals have been cut to the bone ... the democrats tax and spend days are way behind them ...

but corporate welfare is still with us in all its Republican glory ... the massive deficits bush has run up, supported by his Republican Senate and Republican House, should be all any real fiscal conservatives should need to know ...

somehow, we have to wake these people up ...

if they want to return to the days of balanced budgets, they need to vote for Democrats ... and as for McCain switching parties, I would argue that his "fiscal conservatism" would be right at home in the Democratic party ...

10. Must be a new national policy within the puke party
My county pukes had a bit of a fight at their February meeting - even had to call the cops - and they split along moderate-fundie lines. The moderates had been in charge and were bringing in new members, really getting everyone active and involved. The fundies didn't like all this moderate business and took control of the party with a no confidence vote on the chair. Now one of the more moderate pukes is running against an incumbent fundie puke for a state assembly seat. It appears to be dividing them further.

But what's unfortunate for them is fortunate for the county Dem party. Their hubris has weakened them in an election year. Couldn't hardly ask for better.

The icing on the cake would be to see the puke party splinter permantly.

I told Hasterts aids that he is a draft dodging chickenhawk. I told McCain that this is todays republican party and he should consider the unity ticket.
