Do you have any doubt that Kerry is more qualified more Bush
Edited on Mon May-17-04 10:13 PM by devrc243
to be President? For me this isn't even a question, it's just a given. I know I'm partial, but the facts speak for themselves.

When I hear the media speak of Kerry being boring or his speeches droning, it makes me see just how shallow their logic is when looking at the qualities of a President. It's not about voting for "senior class president," since that is usually the "out-going, popular, jock" kind of guy (at least it was at my high school) who was as dumb as rock. A Presidential election shouldn't be a "popularity" contest or who can "put back a few beers" with you. It's about finding someone with intense intellect and passion for working for the good will of the people.

When I look at Bush's record (and that includes his stint as governor), he does't give a damn about the people who needed his help the most. He came into his selected position extremely under-qualified and look where it's got us.

For the people who complain about Kerry being boring, I say look at the record of his accomplishments and compare it to Bush's. There's NO comparison.

I think too many worry about the "stiff and boring" Kerry (which I see less and less of) rather than the intellectual, EXPERIENCED leader that he has proven himself to be.

3. But
I don't understand why these pundits think Bush is so much more likeable??? Chris Matthews said "You can't argue that Bush is charming, a mans man, a better candidate". Huh? Bush is charming? He's stupid, he's inarticulate, he stutters through every speech!! And thats charming?

6. I know
he's one of the MAIN idiots that comes to mind. I think Matthews loathes Cheney, but he likes Bush cause he's thinks he's a "fun kind of guy." Chris must have not had many friends in school 'cause he's so shallow at times.

7. Your so right
when I heard Matthews say that last week? I just shook my head. I really wish that they would get off this bit that Kerry is boring. I find him quite refreshing. HE has SOMETHING to say worth listening to, shrub boy just has a bunch of wise craks to spew .

9. Bush*. The sort of guy you'd like to pour a beer on.
> "You can't argue that Bush is charming, a mans man, a better candidate"

No, you can't, because he isn't any of those things. He just has the networks in his pocket
so your boss orders you to shill for him.

> Bush is charming

Anyone who is so easily hypnotized should avoid looking at televisions and shiny objects.

> a mans man,

more like a school bully who never grew out of it.

> a better candidate

not even the best efforts of the media can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

11. Yeah, you're right
INSECURE school-yard bully. He gets so defensive. Definite signs of insecurity, which takes me back to my point: he's NOT qualified!:)

8. You guys are so right.
I enjoy listening to John Kerry speak, as well as Howard Dean, Wesley Clark. When I listen to the Boy King, and I can only take a few minutes at a time, I am ashamed. Charming? Who could possibly think that? And manly? There is a dearth of evidence he even participated regularly in his Air National Guard drills!

12. we are trying to take big steps . takes a bit to reach one's stride..
America, right now needs to show the world that democracy can begin at home. if we do not do some preventative maintenence on our system , the world will begin to treat us like the spoiled teenage brat we outwardly display.

13. My dog is more qualified to be Pres. than Bush!
Sure I know that's nasty, but I trust my dogs judgement. He loves everybody, almost all the time. If he takes a dislike to one individual, I know something's wrong with that person. He's been my buddy for 11 years, and has NEVER been wrong!

I wonder what his reaction would be to shrub? No, I don't wonder, I think he'd bite him!

14. Not at all
I am quite sure that *something* goes on inside John Kerry's head. I am not at all sure of the same for Bush. And *something* is a very low standard.
