Just saw a local report that the Berg "event" had been aired in schools. A "teacher" showed the video in class. Another was being criticized for airing the audio only of the "event." Wonder if that teacher listens to hannity?
Middle and High schools, I believe, and both principals were stating that this was wrong and would be corrected. No idea if these were local and/or isolated incidences.
That that video was shown in public schools, that is outrageous, isn't it? Its only possible effect would be to terrorize the captive audience of children, who are there to learn in a supposed atmosphere of trust. Its not like you can't discuss the issue without watching or hearing it, is it?
On a different note. my 13yr old nephew told me a couple of days ago that his teacher told the class that Kerry would bring back the draft, but that bush wouldn't. Yeah, I know. Its a private "Christian" school, and that was his response when I pointed out that his teacher has no business campaigning while he/she is supposed to be teaching.
My nephew said Kerry was going to bring back the draft because his teacher told him so. Wonder what the kids who saw and heard that video and also heard, I'm sure, from the teacher(s) what to think about it, and what they told their parents, and friends.
Should this bother me?
What are your kids telling you?
